  Great place. They have a private sit down room, a grocery section and the food counter. The entrance has pictures of the food they serve.
  
  The diversity of food available is the most I've ever seen in a filipino place, almost like seafood city, but more.  There's a lot more street food available such as chicken skin, Bituka, meat and no meat chicharon, Tagpuan made and those made by a third party.  They have a lot of Pulutan (food usually eaten with beer) like sisig (the type without mayo), goat kilawin (sour with vinegar).  They also have comfort soupy food like arroz Caldo and sinigang.  Hearty food which are good to pair with rice such as kare Kare, beefsteak, Giniling (pork with quail eggs).  Desserts like kutsinta, gulaman, sticky rice and hopia. There's just so much here to choose from, just check out the pics!  They also have dried whole fish, fried small fish and adobo peanuts.
  
  The prices for large are from 10.99 and up. The large is small though, about the size of medium from seafood city, which is a minus.  Parking is available. Attentive staff.

  I would go here for my Filipino food fix if I am not in the mood to drive to Cabalen. Food is a hit and miss, meat in the beef caldereta is at times not as tender, adobong pusit is ok but they do not remove the pen or backbone makin it difficult to eat. Came here twice for the breakfast buffet and both times I was disappointed. If they are charging $12.99 at least make sure that the corned beef dish has more beef than potatoes. The scrambled eggs were not refilled frequently. When refilled, it would be very sparingly. It seems that they just cook as needed. Some trays are empty and you have to wait for a refill. By the time they do, you have lost your appetite. If Buffet Places like Mandarin do the same thing no customers will be back. Lastly, if you choose buffet over ala carte, the restaurant staff watch the other customers like a hawk to make sure they dont take food from the buffet table. If you are expecting the typical friendly and hospitable Filipino service, go elsewhere. Too bad there aren't many good choices in the area for Pinoy food. Might be worth to drive to 'Sauga

  The first time I walked into Tagpuan, it was simply out of curiosity, after I had just finished having lunch at a nearby restaurant. I didn't buy anything at that time but I made a few mental notes.
  
  Tagpuan is a Filipino restaurant and grocery store with a hot table serving up popular Filipino dishes for takeout. They serve breakfast all day, along with a much bigger menu, made to order. They also do larger orders for catering.
  
  Although I've been here a few times since my original scouting mission, I still haven't eaten anything off their menu. I came in to buy their crispy deep fried pork rinds (chicharron). I discovered that they also have a version made with chicken skin so I just had to try that too. OMG, it was so good!
  
  I love pork rinds but I think I now prefer the chicken skin. It's lighter and crispier than the pork and tastes delicious. It's served with a garlic vinegar dip. Good combination. I've come back twice just for this!
  
  I'm not familiar with a lot of Filipino food but what they have in the hot table looks very appealing so I may just have to come back one day for lunch or dinner.
  
  Four stars for one dish. Yup, it's worth it!

  I have been searching for a good place that sells the classic tapsilog Filipino breakfast. One day while in the area, I found Tagpuan and found out that they sold tapsilog (marinated beef, fried rice and fried egg) and they sold it all day. I excitedly ordered it and was not disappointed. The beef was tender the rice and egg were perfectly cooked. Since this time I have been stopping by this place whenever I'm in the area.
  
  A few things not to be missed are, turon, pancit palabok, pork bbq skewers, pares and of course the tapsilog. They have a small eating area consisting of roughly 10 tables, but good luck getting seats on weekends as this place is jammed with Filipinos.
  
  Restaurant is fairly clean and parking is available. The layout is a little weird as you had to walk through the dining room in order to get to the takeout counter. Other than that, this place is definitely a good place for authentic Filipino food.

  So I told my wife we've never tried this Pilipino spot yet and she decided to check it coz she was around the area. She got milkfish, arroz caldo (congee) but better, palabok (noodles), chicken feet mongo( mung beans) dinoguan ( blood pudding)but better. Hungry yet? And Bbq pork skewers. Then Halo Halo can't explain just order it. Ginataan and dila dila. Coconut goodness. Very authentic place. Tasted like back home no short cuts here. The bbq was so tender, the all the stews were on point. Can't wait to order the rest of the menu.
